About Brianne

Heyyyyy! My name is Brianne. Health and fitness are two of my biggest passions in life. Having the opportunity to teach women how to be fit and love their bodies — both physically and emotionally — is super important to me, and I’d love to help you.

Before earning certifications as both a Personal Training Specialist and Healthy Eating & Weight Loss Coach through CanFitPro, I was a writer. My byline’s appeared on numerous print and online publications, including Elle Canada, FLARE, HelloGiggles, The Huffington Post, Weight Watchers Canada, She Knows, She Does The City, and more.

Okay, I am still a writer. But something happened in the summer of 2016. I realized I didn’t want to be only a writer forever Amen. I wanted to incorporate all of my life-long passions – nutrition, fitness, wellness – into my life on regular basis. Even more so, I knew I wanted to serve other women and help them achieve a healthier, happier lifestyle.

It was an eye-opening “Aha!” moment for me. Despite being an avid exerciser for most of my life, I never thought of myself as athletic. Since high school, I had self-labelled myself as artistic. Certainly not a jock, and hell no, not athletic. To me, athletic people were greased-up bodybuilders or those fit-and-fab girls who always placed first at high school track and field while I was rewarded with a participation ribbon. Even bendy yogis who thrived on green juice and macrobiotic diets were more athletic than little ol’ me.

But here’s the thing: I’ve run 10Ks. I have tons of experience with a variety of sports and classes, including long-distance running, dancing, weight training, boxing, tennis, skiing, Pilates and Barre, and I consistently consume a healthy, balanced, (mostly) plant-based diet. However, until that fateful “Eureka!” moment, it never occurred to me that I could be both THIS (artistic writer extraordinaire) and THAT (athletic-health-wellness guru). But now after being certified as a CanFitPro personal trainer and healthy eating coach, I am. And, I believe, so can YOU.

My goals for my clients stem from the life lessons I’ve learned through my own fitness journey. I want you to never limit yourself. To stop comparing yourself (Facebook is a lie, we know this). To stay open to where life shifts you, to say yes even if it scares you, and to remember that you are stronger than you think you are. Don’t restrict yourself from evolving and growing into your true potential based on who you thought you were or what you’ve always believed about yourself. Believe that you can embody a healthy and happy lifestyle — and you will.

You’ve got this!
